Economic Standards Decision to Get Left for Next City Council

Standards for business incentives handed out by city hall in La Crosse are on hold. The city council has voted to delay for ninety days on adopting a new policy for creating standards for economic development in the city. Many city council members have been clamoring for development standards to counter what has largely been seen as preferential treatment for some businesses collecting large incentives in the form of complicated TIF financing.
