It was the words, "I will not seek election to a second term in this office," that leaves the city of La Crosse in need of a leader. After only one term serving as the youngest mayor the city ever has seated, Matt Harter said he will not seek reelection. "I can't speak for Matt, but I did have a sense over the last year or so that he wasn't having fun, and you have to enjoy your job.
