Area school district receives $10,000 grant

SPARTA, Wis. - The Sparta Area School District received a $10,000 grant in America’s Farmers Grow Rural Education program to take hydroponics into the classroom. Hydroponics is the art of growing plants without soil. Program organizers say students will learn how to grow plants using the right amount of inputs, like water, light and other nutrients.
